Welcome Everyone!!!

1 Sept, 2026

Hello everyone,

We’ve been working on a game for a while now, and I think it’s finally time to start talking about it. It’s called Battle Kards. Battle Kards is a turn-based fantasy card game that we’re developing at Idolrun Entertainment together with Lost Game Studios. At its core, the idea is pretty simple. You build a deck, battle it out in PvP, and collect Resonance to control the map.

There are currently 25 cards in the game, which you can choose from to build a deck of 9 cards to battle. The card categories are Attack, Defence, Buff, Debuff, and Special cards. That limitation is actually one of the things we like about the game. You can't take everything with you. You have to decide. Players do get the option to swap cards if they are not working for you.

Then there are the Captains.

Each Captain has their own strengths and abilities, and choosing one changes the way you approach your deck. We wanted Captains to feel like more than just another card in your collection. They're the ones leading your deck into battle, and choosing them gives an outcome for how you play. We're still experimenting with some of these things ourselves. That's part of making a game. You make something, play it, realize something doesn't feel quite right, change it, and then play it again.

I think that's especially important for a game like Battle Kards. We don't want to build a complicated system just because we can. We want the strategy to come from the decisions the player is making and want to know how each of you would play.

And then there is Resonance.

Battles aren't completely isolated from one another. As you play, you collect Resonance and work toward controlling the map. That's probably the part of the game we're most excited about to be honest. You can battle out on a solo journey or join a guild to capture strongholds and passes. We don't want the game to just be about winning one match and moving on to the next. We want your battles to feel like they're contributing to something.

There is still a lot we're working on, and I'm sure some things will change along the way. That's just how game development goes.

For now though

This is Battle Kards; more updates soon.
